If Republicans think they deserve applause for condemning Congressman Steve King’s racism, they’re sorely mistaken.
Denouncing King was easy and long overdue. What’s really damaging to our country are not the words of a single congressman. Rather, they’re the ethnic nationalist policies of President Trump.
When the Republicans stand up to the president, then we’ll cheer them.
